Understanding your infrastructure is the key to everything we do. IT support services are always linked to your network infrastructure, so it’s vitally important that this is working to capacity.
With this in mind the first thing we do is complete an Infrastructure audit, analysing strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for future improvements. The goal of the audit is to best understand how to configure the IT environment to suit the needs of the client and their business.
We have a vast knowledge of different IT systems and configurations and we use this knowledge to get under the skin of a company’s IT and how it’s used by that business. It’s very important that we talk to the people using the IT and the people managing those people. We will talk to the business stakeholders, senior staff and the people at the coalface. This way we can understand how the infrastructure affects their daily business activities and then discover any pitfalls.
The main part of the audit is the technical side. Senior CNS engineers will carry out the audit and document their findings for later review. They will asses all aspects of the IT infrastructure including servers, firewalls, LAN infrastructure, storage environments, WAN design and related third party applications and hardware.
Once complete we will draw up a set of recommendations that take into account improvements and the likely return on investment. Only when both parties agree will the work commence.
