Position: Junior I.T Support Engineer
Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 depending on experience, including car or mileage allowance & mobile phone
Type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Chester – Ideal candidate will live within 10 miles of the HQ in Chester
About the Job:
If you have a good technical knowledge of Microsoft Server Systems and a desire to improve your skills, have experience in a customer service/helpdesk position and work well in a customer focused role then this is the role for you.
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Passion for IT systems and good technical knowledge
- Experience in an IT Support\Help Desk role and be extremely customer focused
- Experience in the installation and support or Microsoft Server Operating Systems
- Experience in the installation, migration and support of Microsoft Exchange
- Experience in the installation of VMware and SAN infrastructures
- Configuration and support of LAN\WAN environments
- Any programming knowledge, php and .net would be a great advantage
The role of an Junior IT Support Engineer will involve:
- Administration of Business IT Systems (Microsoft Server Environments)
- Proactive monitoring and service scheduling
- Systems audit and network design
- Development of business critical systems
- Some website editing/programming
- Providing valuable input on customer projects
